WHAT ABOUT THEIR MUSIC
Prior to forming the Chi-Town Blues Band, Richie was the lead singer for The Funky White Boys and decided to pursue a solo career. In 2005, Richie, while on his own, released the smash hit single “Frisky Whiskey”. At that time he also began to form what is known today as Richie Rich and The Chi-Town Blues Band, which consists of the who’s who in blues and jazz. Following the completion of the Cadillac Records CD, Richie went into the studio to record “From The Streets” along with Billy Flynn, Barrelhouse Chuck, Kenny Smith and members of the Tommy Dorsey touring orchestra. "From The Streets" was released in 2011 by Interscope Digital Distribution (Tunecore/Universal Music Group) and peaked at number 4 on the blues charts.
“From The Streets” is available for streaming on TouchTunes and AMI digital juke boxes located in most bars, pubs, taverns and restaurants throughout the United States and Canada, it is available for purchase through 15 different online and retail stores including iTunes and Amazon.com and, according to BMI, it is being played in 37 different countries worldwide including all of Europe, Asia, Russia and The Middles East on the radio, online streaming, in movies and on television shows.
The band is set to release it’s next record called “At Rock Bottom” in the summer of 2013 to coincide with the "2013 At Rock Bottom Tour".
At Rock Bottom was recording in Chicago with the regular touring members of The Chi-Town Blues Band and also includes a number of special guests including Jimmie Bones on piano (Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Howling Diablos, Blackwater Surprise) and David McMurray on tenor sax and flute (Kid Rock, KEM, Was (Not Was), Rolling Stones, B52's).
