Rick Jordan is the founding member of Rottin' Cottin'. His masterful handling of the big doghouse bass is a huge part of the Rottin' Cottin' show.
Rick was a member of the Washington DC famous band "The Grandsons" from 1988 through 1997. With The Grandsons, Rick played many large festivals sich as Austin, Texas' South-by-Southwest, the Jazz Fest in New Orleans, and the Rocky Gap FEstival and NOrth Carolina's Black Mountain Festival. He was also fortunate enough to play with the Grandsons at several famous venues such as Wolf Trap, The Kennedy Center, the National Theatre, Tipitina's in New Orleans, and the 9:30 Club in DC.
he has played with the biggest names in music including Ray Charles, Los Lobos, Marcia Ball, The Bodeans, Jimmie Dale Gilmour, Dirty Dozen Band, The Dixie Chicks, Southern Culture on the Skids, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Today, he's the heartbeat of Bo Weevil & Rottin Cottin and keeps that dance floor thumpin'...
