Tomi Leino is a blues singer, harp player and guitarist
from Helsinki, Finland. Being a self taught musician he has spent most
of his life listening and playing blues and other root music. He has
first rate live band with excellent musicians. Tomi Leino Blues Band
plays straight forward blues with a great deal of feeling and lays down
grooves that rock the house from intimate clubs to festival stages.
Besides playing gigs on a regular basis in Finland, Tomi has toured the
United States, Sweden, Germany, Russia, England and Estonia. In year
2009 Tomi Leino and his band were voted as best blues band to represent
Finland in the Baltic Blues Challenge (tok place in May on Germany).
The final selection for this event was made by representatives of
Finnish blues associations, the music press, radio stations, and blues
2007, Tomi released an album together with American bluesman
Steve Guyger, titled 'Keep it Moving'.
In 2009 Tomi released of 'Dynamite Boogie', where Tomi Leino is featured
artist. This collection of 10 tracks all of which are Tomi Leino
originals. Tomi and the band show respect to Little Walter,
Freddie King and many other greats of
the 50s and 60s. At the same time they bring a fresh approach to the
genre. This is a no compromises blues album.
