Born in Texas and raised in south Louisiana Waymond McGee
was exposed not only to rock n' roll but blues, gospel, R&B, soul and cajun.
This has given him an insight and appreciation of many artists that has
remained throughout his life. His main influences on the guitar have been
Eric Clapton, Duane Allman,
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Roy Buchanan, Ry Cooder and
many others. Always drawn to rock n' roll and blues Waymond played with
various bands through the 70's and 80's. Eventually college, military
service and just life in general brought about a reevaluation of priorities.
Retired from live performing for 12 years Waymond has found a creative
outlet in releasing this debut CD. Self produced, he plays all the
instruments as well as writing all the material. Waymond hopes to record and
release more music in the future and is grateful to those who will become a
fan of his music.
